Very well made product. Lighting is excellent, and the choice of three colours and a dimmable brightness is great. I think it’s made of aluminium, so feels very solid. The angle of the light doesn’t create any glare issues with the monitor. Much better than a desk lamp - no desk space is lost with this lamp, and just as bright for reading books. Unfortunately the clip mechanism to attach it to the monitor wasn’t really wide enough for my monitor- it looks like it would only work on thin monitors with a big bezel. My monitor (Dell U2414H) is about 5cm at the thickest, and is also concave at the back. I would think this lamp would work best with thin monitors with a flat back. But I noticed it was able to actually balance on top of the monitor without the clip... So at the point where it balanced best, I superglued a set of strong neodymium magnets onto the light and the monitor (cost $1), and now it sits very securely on top (see photos - the 4 round silver coins are neodymium magnets). I imagine not many others are keen on supergluing magnets (you could also try Velcro) to their monitors, but I think this “hack” is better than the original clipping mechanism. It feels quite secure, doesn’t take away any screen real estate and the light can be easily removed. There is no way the lamp will fall off accidentally, and the use of two magnets mean the lamp always returns to the same place when I take it off.
